X marked the spot at PHOTOMAFIA on the 6th of July 2024. Tyrone Williams and Luke Harby presented their latest collaborative project, XXto2, a deceiving simple exploration of the letter X. How much Riffing can be done around a subject so simple you may wonder?

Luke and Tyrone filled the room with a range of techniques, mediums. set up, candid, 2-D and 3-D representations of the letter X across the studios wall and if you hadn’t had your fill they produced a zine to accompany the project that included hundreds more.

X could be a meaningless symbol but culturally has many connotations which is what kept this project so interesting and versatile despite being seemingly simple.
